It's on the remote transmitter/key fob. It can be used to pop with the car on or off, in P. But yeah, what everyone else said as for a car mounted button. I think they got rid of it since it also wouldn't work if the actuator on the trunk fails. @texhawk0 has the solution for that if everything already broke.

Seems like the fob will not open the trunk if there is a key in the vehicle and in the accessory position. Have yet to try key in ignition but in off position.
