Well, easier, actually; easier to replace the barrel than the stock. The Shockwave/TAC-14 are what they are for a reason. While im not a brace-person, Shockwave/TAC-14 with a brace makes a bit more sense (no paperwork/tax). The only reason I can think of is lanbos has factory 500s SBS for $450.

After lots of practice, I was consistently able to draw and fire in about 3 seconds (from a loaded chamber, safety on condition). Overall, I found it very unobtrusive and surprisingly comfortable.

Generally if you are intentionally making a shockwave into an NFA item you would probably be better off (as far as flexibility) to register it as an SBS instead of a AOW. The only upside to an AOW is the lack of interstate travel rules. You don't need a 5320.20 to transport a silencer or AOW.
