Even though it doesn’t have lugs, its nice tread pattern is enough to provide traction in very slippery terrain. There is an issue with how noisy they can be, though. At first glance, the Norco Bigfoot 1 would seem to fit snugly in the niche-within-a-niche adventure fatbike category, with its 5-inch Terrene Johnny 5 tires on 26-inch wheels just screaming to be loaded up and ridden on a beach, or through deep, fresh snow, or on some similarly boring and difficult sounding "mission.".The Wrangler AT/S in load range C have been the best half ton truck tire for me. I currently have the Wrangler Silent Armor P series extra load. Very pleased so far. Only 10k miles on them so not sure about treadwear yet. The downfall to me was the P series came with 11/32 of tread and the AT/S C's have 16/32.Tread depth is measured in 32nds of an inch, and most new LT-C tires have 14/32 to 15/32, with a few at 16/32. Your measurement of .425" is equal to 13.6/32, so assuming 14/32 when new, your tread wear has been minimal; certainly not enough to see.
