I have the MCARBO trigger and I really like it. It makes the pistol a lot more shootable for me. I also put in the lightest trigger spring. I did put in the Galloway recoil spring and that helped with FTF/FTE issues. I was having my doubts about the gun, but I'm much happier now.Warner Bros. The II and Max are not striker fired - also recessed hammer like the original. The hammer remains 3/4 cocked once chambered. Ruger describes it as "SAO-like".
