The new exotics are weighted with a higher chance to drop than others in that slot... until you unlock it. Once you have gotten it the first time, it just gets added to the pool. At that point, all exotic chests have the same chance to drop. There's nothing you can do to specifically farm rolls for Omnioculus. 5.
Master isn't much better than legend when it comes to drop rate. Unless your clear time for the lost sector is roughly the same on both difficulties, I'd say it's probably better to just run legend. It's around a 25% chance on legend with platinum iirc, and 33% on master.. though I might be wrong. You just got really unlucky.Well it was a little less. runs were about 11 minutes each. If we are to use hunter helmets as an example and say a master lost sector takes between 5-10 minutes that means you are t5aking ...So, as we all know, lost sectors are divided up by which slot the gear drops, head, gloves, chest, boots. Lost sectors, to my knowledge will drop exotics you don't own guaranteed (at least from the pool of "Lost Sector Only" exotics) until you have them all. What I've noticed though, is that certain exotics don't drop from some lost sectors ...

1 in 36 chance of getting the one you want to drop in gms is not really farmable lol. Yeah we are in a weird spot for exotics. You've chosen an unusual spelling of "bad". You get 1.5 exotics a run, you're probably more likely to hit the exotic you want in GMs before you hit it in a lost sector. That's crazy.

If it takes 4 minutes to do legend and 4:20 to do master then master is better. Master lost sectors do have a higher drop rate, but because legend can be run much faster it works out to be faster to farm legend instead of master.

Assuming i'm reading this correctly, it looks when getting an armor drop, the splits are (rounded for simplicity) to be about : 50/20/5/25% (nothing/R/L/E) for Legendary lost sectors. 50/12/5/33 (nothing/R/L/E) for Master lost sectors. That honestly seems higher than I would expect, but again great work!This is how you do it. Fill up your engrams. Farm an easy Legend LS, preferably one that can be done in under 5 minutes. Exotic engrams will goto your postmaster and you can farm the lost sector any day of the week. Log onto a system that you don't have Forsaken, Beyond light or Shadow Keep. For instance I'm a PSN player with all the DLCs ...Bungie kept the exotic armor acquisition a secret when Beyond Light launched so everything has been figured out by players. You likely won't find anything from Bungie. You can run them in a fireteam but exotics only drop on solo clears. You can get exotics, but they will not be that days slot specific nor does it have bad luck protection. To get slot specific and get guaranteed new items you have to run solo.

My engram inventory was full. I got three different exotic engrams that went to the postmaster but when I decrypted them they were boots instead of arms. The Master Lost Sector yesterday was dropping boots which is why I got three engrams that became boots.
Grinding exotics in Lost Sectors is not fun. Okay, I've spent my last 3-4 hrs in the same LS trying to get me a good pair of Secant Filaments. In that amount of time I got a couple pairs of boots with garbage rolls and I didn't need those exotics to begin with. And 0 pairs of Secants. This grind feels awful and not very rewarding especially ...I don't agree with a lot of complaints on this sub, but exotics should always drop with a workable stat roll. Whether that be just high in 2 stats or even distribution, it should never be sub 60 totals. Even if it doesn't show up as possible rewards, it does still drop exotics (shitty rng of course). I think you need yo be above 1800 for the Legend LS to show. I have done platinum runs many multiple times on MASTER Sepulcher lost sectors around 40+ times over 3 days and ZERO exotic. Then on Quarry I can run that in 2-3 minutes on master and even skip champions and still get exotics, like 5 exotics in 10 runs, so it is 100% BS that you have to have platinum runs for a chance at exotics. Statistically, if we take those rates at face value (true rate may vary by a couple points, but is likely quite close), ten platinum Legend runs without a drop will happen about 6.4% of the time. i.e., approximately 1 out of every 15 sets of ten runs would result in 0 exotic drops.
