I have replaced mainsprings on my P226 and P229 which have the "new style" plastic seat and are fairly easy to do. My P239 has a different style with with a roll pin.Rule of thumb with the P239 is .357 Sig will work out of .40 S&W magazines, but not vice versa. The .40 S&W normally uses #6 front, and #8 rear sights, while the .357 Sig normally uses #8 front, and #8 rear sights. This will result in a 2" difference in POI single action, rested, at 25 yards.
